Hi guys, I am a runner who likes to ride and I have a 25+ year old road bike, borrowed from a friend of mine.
It is old, heavy, 9s (Campagnolo Xenon) and small for me (50, I'm 1.74cm or 5'7").
I am interested in these two bikes, please give me your thoughts.
Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 (2012)
Shimano Dura Ace 10s
Shimano Dura Ace wheels (WH-7800)
FSA SL-K crankset
7.4kg+-
500€ ($578) or 440GBP
Cube Attain GTC Pro (2016)
Carbon frame
Shimano 105 11s (5800)
105 Crankset
Mavic Cosmic
8.1kg+-
600€ ($694) or 527GBP
Assuming that both bikes are in a similar good condition, which one would you choose and why?
I ride around 5000km (3000 miles) per year.
I will do some duathlons and maybe one granfondo, but I am a much better runner than a cyclist.

Carbon cranks are nice. The bike fit is most important. Nice prices.
The several year newer Cube Attain GTC Pro would be my choice.
