I rode the Erie Canalway from Buffalo to Albany with 6 friends in late September of this year. I am proud that we made the trip despite some interesting adversity (it truly was a beautiful, enjoyable trip overall). I am proud that I used the opportunity to hone my video editing skills. Finally, I am proud that I designed and 3d printed a custom gadget that made it convenient to shoot GoPro video footage from my handlebars and easily remove and use the camera (which was affixed to a GoPro Shorty monopod/tripod) for capturing panoramas, rear-views, and selfies without stopping my bike. The gadget worked well across all the miles, held the camera+Shorty securely, and allowed me to catch footage that would have otherwise been more difficult and would have slowed the groups' ride pace appreciably.
