Haven’t had a fixed gear in years. I’ve mostly been riding my gravel bike lately, but after scrolling through old photos of my last fixed build (‘07 Langster Comp), the itch came back hard.
Picked up an ‘08/09 S-Works Langster frame and started the parts hunt. Still waiting on a few bits (EAI cog, riser bars to mix it up, etc.) and haven’t settled on a final stem length/angle yet. Threw on a 100mm State stem and some State gravel drops for now just to get it rolling.
Might ditch the SPD pedals for track pedals with cages and straps. The Omnium cranks are NOS, and the 50mm carbon wheels came from eBay, laced to Novatec hubs (those are definitely getting upgraded eventually). Running an Izumi chain, Conti Gator Hardshell out back, and a GP5000 up front – both 28c. Gearing is 48×17.
Planning to hit some Philly Alleycats next year once it’s dialed in.

Sweet!!!
Not a massive Omnium fan, but I can appreciate a focused build.

I like road clipless for any kind of hard riding. Of course the shoes are a pain in the arse, but you can’t beat the stability and security.
Eff ICE for real.
