  1. If you can push the cage upwards ie it’s not at its end limit then no.

    People say it’s wrong but that’s because it’s not the norm. The cage has a range as long as you are inside that range there will be no issue. You actually have better chain tension throughout the cassette.

    I would adjust the B screew and get that upper jockey wheel closer to the cassette to better quieter shifts.
