So, it’s uh Sunday morning, August 18th, and I just left Bonhore. Bonho. Whoops. Bone Bone Vani Campground. A very nice campground with the exception of there was a very good and very loud rock band playing till almost midnight. Anyway, beautiful day again. less cooler last night. It’s supposed to be cooler today. And guess what? Orlon is that way if I’m saying that right. Spells like Orleans, but it’s Orlon, I think. And that’s a beautiful shot of the Sen. No, not the Sen. The uh the Lir. I’m at I’m in France. The Lir uh this morning heading uh on the north side of the Lir today into Orlon. Okay. It wouldn’t be a bike trip if I didn’t take a wrong turn. We’re in the middle of a field. Looks like a roads up here, but still don’t know where I am. Quick video. I’m in a This is a Sunday. It’s a farmers market. Not going to film a lot here cuz Oh, there’s where I’m headed. The Banger Petisserie. Okay, so this is the city of Orlon. It’s a decentsized city. Uh right on the Loir and lots of people out um exercising, lots of bike people. So, looks like they’ve been renovating all these uh real estate around here. Looks like prime real estate. Anyway, nice day. I got another mile. I’m taking a Nero, as they say, in hiking. I only did 30 today. Did my 30 before lunch, but I’m going to call it a day and get a good meal cuz I’ve been going stoless, been eating basically bread and cheese. Uh, so anyway, that’s that. Maybe I’ll go in Orlon Center later. So, this is it. The outskirts. Anyway, it’s a better video of Orlon. Very pretty city, old. It’s Sunday, so everything’s shut down, but other than that, a very nice city. There’s the German section over there. We’re going this way. Hopefully, we can check in early to my hotel. This is cool. This is a stoplight, but they also show you a low I got to go a lower version for the cyclists. Little more of Orlon. This is the town square. Very nice. Again, it’s Sunday. Not a lot going on Sunday. Destination is on your right, Hotel Doron. And my hotel is right here in the fancy part of town. That was only $130 a night. €130. I’m going to take my body with my dirty clothes and probably eat there in about 30 minutes after I check in. Monday morning the 18th. I’m leaving Orlon. Stayed at the hotel doron last night. Very nice. Had a good breakfast. Going through town square again trying to figure out as they say in the bike world how to get out of dodge. So the the lir turns south now. So, I’ve just gone east, straight pretty much east from uh not to Orlon. Now, I’m heading south and then uh eventually I think I pick up the Danube and that goes east again through Bavaria, southern Germany, and the Black Forest and stuff. Looking forward to the German food. Didn’t really like the cheaper French food. A lot of oil and grease. Quick video. I just about 11:00, about 20 miles in. I’m trying to get my 30 before lunch. This nice spot on the river. It’s Monday, so everybody is back at work right now and it’s a lot quieter, which is good. went to the supermarket already and got my tandoori chicken sandwich lunch and my I finally figured out all the baguettes. There’s like bio baguettes and there’s like 10 different kinds and I basically picked the one that has the least number in the bin because that means that’s what people buy and started squeezing them too because I was buying stale ones. But anyway, everything’s good. Quick video of the Fargo. Fargo is rocking. I love this bicycle. And getting a lot of comments on my Canadian flag. Um anyway, back to the Fargo. Um anyone has any questions, this is a great road touring bike, believe it or not. Um so, uh I’ll leave it at that for now. I got to get back. I got 10 more miles to do before lunch. Okay, so it’s the afternoon. I just had lunch and that means this segment brought to you by nobody because I don’t ask for patrons to watch my videos or anything. But anyway, uhoh. Anyway, uh this segment is called my afternoon rant. And here’s my afternoon rant. They say French food is the best food in the world, but all I seem to see in 400 miles is boolanderies, patisseries, and charteries. Basically, uh I’ll give you a view forward. Basically, all serve the same stuff. It’s like you’re in America and you can get all sorts of crazy different kinds of food. And I’m not talking fast foods. I’m just talking everything’s different. Everything here is very much the same. I did learn that if you want a good meal, you have to go to a gastronomic restaurant. So, but anyway, that’s my rant. Oh, is that the Eurov? I’m going this way. Um, so that’s my rant for today. I’m kind of getting looking forward to going to Germany, being back in Germany because I kind of like the food better. Plus, I have my favorite Utica uh supermarkets there. Um, but yeah, it’s just those same three things. And basically, you walk in, you just get bread and uh cheese and some uh unhealthy meat. Quick video. This part of Bojour, this part of France in the kind of heading south of Orleon is much nicer. Um, not the river, but it’s just, I hate to say it, a little more upscale. Um, more green space, more uh, developed parks and whatnot. And it’s very pretty. The town is right over here there the something des but um I’m not going in but it’s just I just thought I’d film this little um yeah I like it. looking forward to, I guess, uh, southwestern France.
