Stupidly cross-threaded the pedal to this hollowgram crank arm. Before I bite the bullet and buy a new one I just want to check there’s definitely nothing that could be done to salvage this mess.
Yeah imo… sorry man. Visually don’t think there’s much for the bb to grab…. But I could be wrong

It can be helicoiled, it is doable at home with the right tools but a bike shop shouldn’t charge too much so maybe it’s worth reaching out and asking a few local shops if they can do it.

Might be able to install a threaded insert, but the option of tapping it for the pedal thread left with the material you ripped out.

A helicoil would be possible – but unless it’s a particularly unusual or expensive crank you’re probably better buying another one.

I’ve done this before with success.
Depends on how you want to spend the money. You could take it to a shop and have them chase the threads to clean it up. The right shop would have the tools, the time and do it for you cheaply.
You could buy the tool and DIY but the reverse threaded tap is like $20-30.

If you do tap it go from the inside out.
