I'm planning to upgrade my Bianchi C-Sport 3 to a 1x drivetrain. I use it mainly on road and on flat, soft gravel as a commuter/fitness bike. I'm thinking of going 38T or 36T with an 11/46T or 11/48T cassette on Deore M5100 . I'm looking for recommendations, I usually climb hills (I live in a hilly area), and I also really hate the gear overlap on the drivetrain it currently has, 46x30T front and 11x36T rear. I included some gear-calculator screenshots so no one needs to check them manually. Is it a good idea? Top is the current , bottom the ones I want to use. Thank you.

  1. What’s the question? Do you like your current ratios? Do you find yourself spinning out too easily when at top speed, or grinding too much when climbing steep gradients?

    Going to need more detail.
Why are you looking to accomplish with the switch?
    What are your riding conditions?
