So I bought this beautiful Gazelle Impala that just needed a bit of love and I delivered. I swapped the old crusty 37 mm tires for new Schwalbe Road Cruiser 42 mm, replaced the chain, cleaned up some small parts and did a few other little things. Now it works fine for what it is and for what I paid for it (40 €). The chain was stretched well over the .75 mark, I suspect that it was the original one. Fortunately the chainring and the sprocket are good enough.
Fun note, the chain, three tubes and two tires cost as much as one of my gravel bike tires. 😨 10 single speed chains cost as much as one SRAM 12s chain. Crazy!
It’s my first experience with Dunlop valves and maybe I’m too used to the Presta and Schrader ones but I definitely didn’t like it.
