Cycling 47km from Le Crotoy to Ault in 2024, we followed the coast and had a lovely flat ride, although it was into the wind in the afternoon. The scenery was coastal and diverse. It was a very enjoyable ride
[Music] Heat. Heat. Hallelujah. [Music] We just ridden into St. Valerie Sur. That is pretty fantastic, isn’t it? We’re in St. Valerie Sus. Beautiful town as we cycled around from um Ltoy. LTOY is almost very difficult to see but Ctoy is on the other side of the bay and this is Le S. So behind those trees on the other you can’t even see the water but then you’ve got all the lowlands for Bay of S and the CO is over there somewhere where the windmills are see. So, we’ve cycled about 14K. We’ve come around the bay. This is very lot of these people come into town on the train. The train comes around from Lafoy. Pretty spectacular really in the yach club up here. go this way. [Music] I don’t know if that’s a reenactment of an air raid siren or what they’re doing there, but just pretty noisy. Jack is going into the boner. Having a bit of a rest. We’ve done 12 13 km. We’ve done 13 km. Having a rest. It’s beautiful view. Beautiful town. Oh, it’s beautiful, isn’t it? We’ve ridden a couple of hundred kilometers, I guess, and we I haven’t seen the sunflowers like we do in the Netherlands, but here they are. A lot of the flowers have gone, aren’t they? They must be ready to hubs. Oh, nice to get back off onto the cycle. Still, we only did well, maybe only a kilometer really. on a medium road that’s on the right chory or super or something but they have a huge bowl under them like a sweep. So I really don’t know what we’re going into the portal. The portal the portal. This is where I believe this sea lions seals on the beaches. It’s a little bit different, isn’t it? The way the headwind is picked up a bit quite a bit actually. Everything here is packing up because the summer holidays finished for the kids a couple of days ago. Have you ever seen so many Bend the moon again. This is still beta song. More certainly this there is the entrance to Visa. I’ve never been past so many beach cottages. Um they’re way around the corner as well. Perhaps a kilometer of them. They are all along the beach front. All the different people’s names. I guess they appear to go up there for another half 500 meters. Pretty amazing. And That’s our destination up there. That looks very much like the white cliffs of Dover in France. Think we have a few hills. Love the old road. And I thought coming across a couple of tools. a big duck. Spotted these wood ducks. We think they’re just sort of planted there in the ocean than in this lake and they’re not real. All right, we coming into Alt A T which is a little bit like D over in England on the coast beside these big white cliffs, chalk cliffs. Wow. I don’t get the camper vans up here. Bloody hell. Campers down there. Or are the boats? I think the campers. Oh, I don’t think they’re working too well. Brakes aren’t working. [Music] Here’s our um apartment in Alt. Got a bathroom up there. Or maybe got a bathroom here. A little got a shower. Really nice kitchen. How’s that for a view? There’s Jackie. Hello, Danny. The windows open. We’ve got the noise of the waves crashing in. Well, crashing is a bit of an overstatement, I guess, but very nice. Let’s just open these. I just lean out there. Can’t get out far enough, but they are the equivalent of the watch over, I guess. And fishing down on the Billy Beach. Sunset drinks. I don’t know if that’s west or not, but Who cares? Very nice. [Music]
