I just got this Brompton and I’m a bit confused about its history. Some parts don’t look like what I usually see on standard Bromptons, so I wanted to check with you all.
Here’s what I’ve got:
• Pics of the bike (frame, head badge, serial number, folding hinges, etc.)
• Serial number: [insert serial number]
• Got it in: [insert location/year if known]
Questions I have:
1. Does this look like an original Brompton, or could it be modified/replica?
2. Any idea about its production year or background based on the serial number?
I’d really appreciate any tips or info! Thanks a lot.

If you have a serial number and are able to confirm with Brompton, then at least the frame is original. Also see the manufacturing year on the serial number, this will give you hints about that year’s model and its style… but it looks original to me.
