I'm looking to buy a frame and build up a mullet trail bike from an old bike I have. I've been looking around and came across Zink frames. They're designed around freeriding, but the geometry looks ideal for a fun poppy trail bike too. My only concern is the very short chain stay at 426mm….
Does anyone have this frame? What are people's thoughts on using this bike as a general trail bike? I'm not really into jumps beyond small ones on natural Enduro type trails…
Link to the frame below:

I’d probably get a Banshee instead. Same price point, option to mullet with flip chips, and from a brand that’s been around about as long as Zink’s riding career.
if the short chainstay is a concern to you, there are a million other trail bikes to choose from.
arguably the ONLY reason to buy a Vacay is the chain stay.
otherwise there isn’t much different from other options, as well as other options being objectively better for trail riding
Vacay is great if you want a bike you can race dual slalom on or maybe even do slopestyle freeriding, then change a few parts around and do your run of the mill trail rides on it (just with a quite short chainstay). as a compromise.
its the only pertinent point, as basically no other trail bike on the market has chainstays that length anymore. especially at those reach sizes. most brands XS-S frames are still longer in the stays
I would only buy this bike if I was certain that I wanted super short chainstays, specifically for getting rowdy in the air. Otherwise I would pick almost any other trail bike lol.
