I recently visited Heinz Stücke to interview him. This is the bike he used for the majority of his huge world tour! In total Heinz was 51 years on the road and I think this bike saw him through 40 or so of those years. Steel frame, 3 gears, double handlebars. He told me the bike alone weighed over 20kgs and his luggage was about 50kgs so all up he was regularly hauling 75kgs on his travels.

Loved the documentary about him, what did you interview him for?
Is it Theseus’ bike? There can’t be much more original parts than the frame and fork if he’s lucky. But yeah crazy mileage! Can’t imagine the life je had with this stud.
50kg of luggage??
