Hi guys,
I tried to service the rear wheel because I've ridden almost 5000km with it (a friend of mine borrowed me the bike) and it felt like it was time to service it.

I was expecting it to have bearings but it looks like it's not.
I've never seen anything like this before and I wanted you to help me out here.

This axle/hub is from a "Vuelta Crosser XRP Lite" wheel.
In the hub it says "XRP".
I removed everything that I could (see last image) but I can't remove the axle.

Will I have to buy new sealed bearings?
How to take them off?

Is it better to take it to a shop?

Thanks in advance.

  1. you’ll need to whack the axle out with a mallet, and a bearing will come with it. to reinstall, you’ll need to press the (ideally new) bearing back into place.
