    I’m a big fan of a rigid fork in the place of that sort of suspension fork. You’d get just as much comfort out of a suspension stem and even more if you have a suspension seat post. Get the biggest tyre you can in there, there almost no downside (other than a tiny bit more weight, which you could offset with TPU tubes or tubeless if you run butyls currently). Also make sure your rear mech has a clutch in it and maybe consider going 1x if the trail is rough.
