I recently got an Aeroad. It’s an awesome bike 🚴‍♀️ and really enjoy riding it (broke few PRs on flats and climbs). I can’t keep my eyes off it. As an amateur cyclist, I do attend crits and granfondos regularly but this bike is definitely overkill for me and I’m under utilizing to its potential. I’m just lucky to have this bike for enjoyment.

I am 179cm and 79-80cm inseam which sits between size S and size M. I went for the size M for the stability but I have to lower seat tube a lot and adjust the saddle slightly forward cuz my sizing is at the edge of size M. I also never rode a size S Aeroad. I read online it will be more compact and more agile but then one have to be more flexible cuz of higher seat tube adjustment and shorter reach+. Possible major toe overlap, harder to super tuck etc.

I did my bike fits a few times in the past so I do know my measurements. Technically both bikes can work.

I’m torn with the decision as with many post around Canyon sizing. I have a few days left to decide either to keep or return it. Also if I do get a size S, I might regret retuning size M. So I thought I get some opinions from online who has experienced in this situation or knows about it?

🙏 in advanced

  1. If you like the bike, the fit is good and you’re happy – why would you change it? Doesn’t make sense to me.

  2. I tell you what. I’m 177 with 83 inseam (which is strange because I’m shorter than you but apparently my legs are longer). I’ve got the exact same bike in size S (see profile pic). I think it’s a good fit. It’s a bit less of a stretch compared to my old bikes from other brands, which feels nicer actually. What I like most is the narrow handlebars actually., as my shoulders are quite narrow. Could go even narrower.

I saw them updating the sizing chart recently, what does it say about your size?

  3. Another topic, what color scheme is that? Is this the alpecin deceuninck one? If yes… Wow
