I got the Endurace CF SLX last month size Large as advised by my local bike shop tech as I am just 6ft tall.
Ridden a couple of times and I’m now convinced that the hoods are too far out for me.
I also have long arms so I thought I won’t have that problem.
I’ve move the saddle forward to the max and it still doesn’t help.
Bike shop says a smaller sized cockpit is super expensive and I’m worried as the bike is not fully paid off even.
TLDR: How do I reduce the stem in a budget friendly way?. Will Canyon help?.

It appears you are looking for bike fitting help. Please make sure you post as screenshot of the Canyon size chart for your bike, with your point in it. See [this example](https://imgur.com/a/ALUfXyy)

Saddle and stem are unrelated things. You cannot compensate stem moving saddle forward, you’ll get knee problems
Did they look through the bikes geometry with you?
All bike brands using a different scheme of sizing so a size Large in a Canyon isn’t necessarily going to be the same as a Large in another brand. For example, I ride a size Small Endurace but would ride a size Medium Giant Defy.
If you didn’t go through the geometry chart to match the geometry to a bike you currently ride that fits you, I’d be thinking that your bike shop inadvertently recommend the wrong size to you.
If it is the right size and the stem is too long, it should be relatively cheap and easy to switch to a standard bar and stem since this looks like an Endurace CF model without the proprietary steerer tube/cockpit combo.
Canyon is direct to consumer, how do you get consulted at your bike shop?
In case you bought it at the shop I would try to give it back to them or switch against a smaller bike.
In case you bought it at canyon I would contact their customer support.
But my guess is, you have no freaking clue what you are doing and how someone is supposed to sit on a road bike. That issue can be solved by getting a bike fit or lots of research and adjusting by yourself.
I’m 6’0 and on a medium Endurace CF. Did you use the size guide on Canyon’s website? My guess would be large is too big for you
There isn’t really a good low cost solution. Canyon won’t swap it for you, they force you to buy it. But there are plenty of people that buy / sell these cockpits online when they swap. A friend did this and only paid around 10% higher to get his size. It’s bad design, but sadly becoming more common in high aero bikes.
Also, that’s a hot bike. Photo staging is cool.
Bite the bullet and swap out your cockpit. You can still get a good value from selling the one that came with the bike.
Only do so after a bike fit though.
It’s so worth it having a bike that fits you.
This does not look like a CF SLX though.
Canyon Large is probably too big a frame for a 6′ tall person. Unless you have really long arms maybe.
I’m 6′ and I sit firmly in the middle of the medium range on their sizing chart.
Often times a seat that is too high greatly reduces functional reach. Lower the seat by a few mm’s and you should be able to reach further.
Go for a bikefit before buying anything. You might even be told to switch sizes
