Is my tire toast? Ran over a piece of glass that broke through my 23mm gator skin hardshell. I've had bad luck with glass gashes on my tire wall causing recurrent inner tube bursts, but this is in the middle on the thick part.

You could try a tire patch and see if it works out better. At one point I used a gator skin with a tire liner to help with tire integrity since they get new punctures constantly (though at least not literally every ride).
Wider diameter tires are so much easier in this respect.
