Happened to me as well. Drove over some invisible thorns on the road. Had to push my bike 5km through the forest with a miriad of mosquitos following me and instantly attacking me whenever I slowed down a tiny little bit.

Go tubeless and get good tyres with puncture protection and you’ll never ever have that issue. I haven’t had a single flat in thousands and thousands of miles over 5 years, including lots of techy terrain.
