I picked up the Fit TRL XL 21” when it was on sale at Dans Comp a bit over a week ago. MSRP was $599, the sale was $250 – plus I had a $25 discount code. The total price delivered was $245 bucks.
I’m a 44YO looking to recapture a shred of my youth. I’d been looking at bikes for the last month or two, trying to decide between a Cult and WTP, but I didn’t want to spend $500-800 on a good complete. I also didn’t want a total junk bike either.
This one seems like it has some compromises in components and quality and it definitely is not worth the retail price of $599 – but for the $225 plus tax I paid if I ride it for a year and decide to totally upgrade to a higher end bike, I’m not mad at it. And if I get sick of it all together, I’m not out too much money.
I think it’s a decent bike to introduce me to bmx and give me a taste of what I can expect should I decide to invest in something higher end down the road.
