  1. Rotate the tires and get a couple more miles out of it, then switch them out… there just worn not dangerous

  2. Just about done. When there’s more flat than tread, that’s when it’s finished for sure. Rotate is fine especially since you’re only on asphalt. You don’t need any tread on asphalt.

If riding in dry weather, tire should be fine. But I do like your plan of buying new for the front and send used one back, unless it has cracks.

  4. Is it flat? No? Then NOOO, run it till it dies! 😆 Ya start puttin miles on these things and you’ll be very proficient at swappin tires! Hell, I dont even pull a wheel if I gotta patch a tube.

For the worn rear tire, it kinda depends on how fast you plan to ride. If you just want to cruise around the neighborhood, it’s completely fine and I would ride it without any concern. If you’re going fast, like more than 20 mph, it’s not worth riding with the diminished traction and added risk of crashing, imo.

1.5k is crazy low, I get like 4-5 times that from maxxis ramblers. I can’t imagine it’s the tires fault – pump to correct psi every single ride. Gear up and weigh yourself with your bike then check out the silca psi calculator before your next ride.
