Crust Florida man with happy stem. Knock off corner bars in the first two pics and VO tourist bars in the other two. I know I like both sets of bars. The tourist bars make me feel like I'm riding on top of a monster truck and the corner bars obviously feel a little more tucked…so this purely aesthetics, I believe. I may end up putting a different stem on but for now I'm gonna try it for some lower back relief.

And obviously I’ll wrap the corner bars if I leave them on.
I really wish surly would put out a silver version of the corner bars. I’d love to try them out, but the black would kinda clash with the aesthetic I’ve built
The combination of the happy stem and pretty long amount of seat post makes it look like this frame is too small. And a happy stem with basically drop bars looks goofy. I have a happy stem on one of my bikes too. I think it’s not the best looking stem around but if it works, go with it.
Can you comfortably reach the “hoods” on the corner bars? I feel like my forearms would be mashing the handle bars
I think the VO bars look better, but which ones feel better?

I went from dirt drops to Tourist bars on a bike and was shocked by how much I liked them. It was a temporary measure for a broken wrist but I’m resistant to switching them back.
Rotated down a bit, the Corner bars look like a better fit with that Happy stem though.
I prefer the silver ones, they look best but also seem like they’d be more comfortable
If I were you I would do tourist and swap for a stem with less rise. You won’t be tucked but it won’t feel so wildly upright. I wrapped the bend in my tourist bars and use that spot a lot to get more efficient position
