I like my CAAD-8 quite a lot, but if this Allez is objectively a legit upgrade then I'll probably scoop it and part with the Cannondale. I'm not a roadie and I'm out of touch with what's what. I'm not going to be interested in acquiring the latest and greatest in road bikes; it's the 6th bike in my stable and only used a few times a year.
Both bikes are unknown model year.
The Allez has the tidier shift cables at the brifter end. I do see that the cable appears damaged at the rear derailleur but that's probably NBD to me.

Not really. Find Specialized Roubaix or Tarmac
Might not be faster but the cues groupset will be a big quality of life upgrade
