I recently put two continental kryptotals on my bike. Id never had the rims trued and the back tire has very tight clearances and it was too wobly for my liking so I got it trued, everything good with the back tire. I took the front tire to get trued the next week and my guy said he made adjustments and got the rim true but my tire does this. He said it may be from the tire itself. Is this normal? Seems like an inexcusable amount of slop or am I tripping?

Is this normal?

No it’s not. It’s most likely the tire, either it’s not seated as the other commenter suggested or it’s a manufacturing defect. I’m presuming that you have verified it’s not the rim right? Good luck 👍🏻
