Hey all,
I've got a Giant Revolt GRX 1, which I think should take a 12×142 and a 12×100 thru axle. I bought new ones to those specs but as you can see they are a bit too long. The rear when tight has about 1cm between the head of the bolt and the frame and the front has threads poking out a bit from the front fork. The front I can live with but the back I can't ride like this surely?!
Anyone know what's up here?

The dimensions you are referring to are the hub spacing and axle diameter. The actual axle length will vary between bikes with the same hub spacing. See if the axle specs are listed in the manual, if not you can use Robert Axle Project to determine what axle length fits your bike. The important dimensions are diameter, length, and thread pitch.
Looks like it might be 163mm in the rear and 120mm in the front.
