I picked this beauty up in June of this year. The owner didn’t know the year or model. A deep internet dive has lead me believe it is a 1982 Professional. I wonder if anyone can help to confirm/deny. Serial number is MS06258. It had Suntour Superbe Pro front and rear derailleur. I was able to date the rear derailleur to 1980. The writing on the seat tube sticker, above the Piaggo decal, rubbed off once I washed the frame. (see last photo). There is a, “Made in Japan” sticker below the front derailleur.
The remaining original parts are: BB, headset, front derailleur, down tube friction shifters, and brakes.

How did you put the modern brake handles on, and how much does it cost ?

The paint looks thin. My guess is that this is a repainted bike and it is a “Made in Japan” Bianchi from these years. Search: “bianchi ishiwata magny” for similar bikes.
