Hyam [Applause] Kabore. It’s a heavy touch by Brown and forced to concede the corner. But this the moment that Nathan Broadhead might have thought a second championship goal was imminent. It’s good movement, isn’t it, from Nathan Broadhead. Good header from Kefir Mo, but you can see how sharp Jamie coming off his line just about what 16 yds out. Had to go and smother the ball and eventually they get that ball away. [Applause] Jamie is going to have some company by the look of it for this corner. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Three Rexen players within a yard or so of each other. Four in fact. And it will be Matty James to deliver the corner. [Applause] more the target. Broadhead has come and kept it out this time. No. And Nathan Broadhead scores. And is tonight the night where Rexom finally find some home comforts in the championship? Well, first you have to say that Kefir Moore’s movement is is superb going back towards the back post. But if I’m an Oxford United player, I’m thinking, well, who’s going to cause the most problems? And it’s going to be Kefir Moore. It’s a good header that comes back and eventually when that ball was played in by Nathan Broadhead, you’re just wondering whether or not that ball was just going to be going over the line or not. Obviously, the watch dictates that has been the case. It’s a great little ball from Matty James towards the far post. Have a look at the the movement there of Broadhead. I just wonder there was there a little bit of an infringement on Kieran Brown. There was a little bit of a block and that’s what the players are looking at. Have a look at Kieran Brown here. It was just arms around him to start off with and eventually when Broadhead hits that ball, I’m sure the referee would have had the uh the watch to say that the ball had gone over the line. [Applause] I’m not entirely sure Kea Mo’s definitely aiming for Nathan Broadhead, but it’s getting it into an area. the Maka’s corner went all the way through to the back post and Hel couldn’t quite turn it in. Well, you say it’s a decent ball, but it’s just zipped off the surface and really there wasn’t enough bodies in and around that sixyd box to tap that ball home there. You see, it was a decent challenge I think from Dominic Haim in the middle of that goal. Boring now right hand side 10 yards into the Oxford half. Matty James. Good run by Thomasson clears space for Kakache to attack the diagonal. He finds Broadhead. He makes space on the edge of the D. Can’t quite line up the shot. So he pulls it back to Dobson. Dobson out wide to the right. Kabor’s got players attacking the box. Swings in for Moore who heads it over. Good defending just to lean into Moore and make sure he was a little off balance by Brown. But more nice buildup play by Rex. Yeah, again it’s got that bit of patience about it as well, hasn’t it? Broadhead maybe could take the shot on but decides it’s not probably the best probability from from where he was with the bodies in front of him. So he just keeps it alive. Good ball into the box. It’s I think it’s a difficult angle lead them. We’re over halfway through the added time. Thomasson stands a good ball in more with a header. Tight angle bead Doyle. It was held by the keeper. It was a very tight angle but Doyle met it with power and it was another good setpiece delivery. That’s another shot on target by a Rexom side which has dominated affairs. Yeah, it’s Thomasson on that one, isn’t it? Just hangs it up. It’s a really good run in from Callum Doyle. Maybe could they just had a couple of knockdowns off him now? They got two players up front can get a player close enough to benefit. Let’s see if Oxford on the half and feed Broady. That’s a cute idea. Flicking it around. Oh, and Doyle has taken his man out. Oxford want more than the yellow. rushing in on Doyle. It was a red. Yeah, it is more than a yellow. Listen, it’s it’s very late, isn’t it? It’s always going to be one where the referee can make that decision. It’s just a rash challenge. He’s just dived in. Doesn’t need to make that tackle. He really committed, didn’t he? From a long way out. He sprinted in. Dembele is really quick. Got there first, nicked it beyond him. and Doyle went plowing straight through him and this game has now got a different complexion. Yeah. And how many have we how many times have we said so far this season these moments in games where maybe we’ve just not taken our opportunity. There’s been a lack just a switch off in terms of defensive duties. You just got to hope that this isn’t the turning point in this game which up to this point I know the second half we haven’t necessarily international bar of course started ahead of Kefir Moore as a free kick comes in is into a great area and it’s over hit the bar and over and Rexom get away with it. Fantastic free kick delivery that and attacking it six yds out. Just arrived a touch too high and was headed onto the top of the bar and skimmed away for the goal kick. Otherwise, it would have been a a goal for Lanche. It’s a fantastic cross by the way. Yeah, horribly wicked in between that area of no uncertainty in between the defender and the goalkeeper and it bounces. But he did put his arms around him and the fans around us were groaning. They thought it was abandoned and then yeah the second run well he can make the case as clue tight the veter puts it over crowde and pulls a lovely ball back for Smith. He hits it in. Oh the keeper makes a worldly save. Windas pops it off. Smith hits a brilliant left footed shot and the keeper somehow palms it onto the crossbar. That was magnificent all round. What a save that is by the way. It’s a lovely bit of play by Rexom. He drops to Cluit who’s who’s now playing right wing back cuz Dan Scar’s come on in his position. It just drops for him and he just sees there’s an opportunity just so long throw is again not long enough. Long only heads clear. Nasty drive but it goes wide. It was hit into the ground but was pulled as well and so Concord could lost flash shot wise. I think Rexim are doing really well. I know we said that we was worried about them sitting too deep, but they’re actually limiting Oxford with opportunities. They’re making them cross from deep. They’re making them shoot from deep. And the truth of the matter is that it doesn’t matter where these kicks and Brown underneath heads to the halfway. Massie James had a good game. He intercepts and volleys it back where it came from. Brown cushions it straight to Wendas. Lovely feast. Laser off can hit this now. Maybe slides in Smith. Smith good first touch. Can he finish? Another save. That’s four fabulous saves that has made to deny Rex. We’ve had the six, had the minutes, and that’s very much in the second half. You really can’t argue. [Applause]

  1. Well done Wrexham, solid team performance!

That referee was one of the most bias and inconsistent ones I’ve ever seen. What they failed to show was a blatant foul 5 seconds before the red that should have been awarded to Wrexham. The ref did this all night and it was inevitable that it was going to eventually lead to players getting frustrated and lashing out. Having said that, I’m not even sure if that was a red anyway.

Overall, a good night, with a much needed win, despite how hard the referee tried to stop it being our night! UTST! 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

  2. Doyle was about half an hour late on that tackle haha , so glad we got the 3 points , that give us a bit of breathing space now , we were hoovering to close to the relegation zone for my liking

  3. The view from Virginia USA: Sad to say, but now that we're this deep into the season, Wrexham (the team, not the town) have lost their soul. All the big money signings for the Championship have been a bust. More talent? debatable, and probably true, however, no "soul". The day they jettisoned Ollie Palmer sealed the deal. Soul officially lost. The boys from the last two seasons had "soul". They knew how to finish. They knew how to win. This outfit? I don't think so. I know it's intangible, but you can "feel" it.

  4. If doyle got a red for that, oxfords no.15 shuold have been sent off at the same time with the scummy lash kick out into the tback of doyle! Scumbag

  5. Doyle's foot never left the ground… Thats not a red. Its a terrible tackle but its a yellow card. He was late. It wasn't reckless, it wasn't high, it wasn't malicious. It was just late.

  6. That should NOT have been a red card. It could've possibly been a BAFTA winner though. Doyle BARELY caught Dembélé's trailing foot. Dembélé launched himself through the air like Superman. Watch it at 25% speed. It's hilarious. As he came to a stop, he tucked his right arm under himself and did an extra roll. Well acted, sir!
