First time road bike buyer. Price was originally $1350 CAD but is now reduced to $1000 CAD. I am planning on negotiating the price down to maybe $800 to $900 CAD given this is "priced to sell" but it's been listed for 6+ weeks already. Is this still too much? I haven't had luck finding good road bikes in my area.

It would be difficult to find a bike of that age that is as clean as this one is. The drivetrain looks barely used. The external routing of the shift cables makes it look more dated than the under bar tape routing used in the more expensive group sets of this era. I could believe in paying ~800 CAD for it.

Tiagra is a entry level group set and still even the modern one is not the best
