Hello all, as you can see, this is going to be my first bike that im purchasing. Im mainly looking at fb marketplace and found this Trek multitrack 700. As I’m new to biking I was wondering if $150 was a fair price for this? Im mainly going to be using it for city trails. Im 6ft and user says that the frame is 23”, is this a good size for me?
Description of post: “Large frame (23” 53cm). Large 700c rims. New chain and rear tube. Rear wheel hub assembly cleaned and greased. Porch pick up.”
Any info would be helpful, thanks.

You should take the bike for a spin and see if you like the ride. $150 ain’t bad. It’s pretty clean.

Yeah 23″ is extremely tall. Unless you are built like Jack skellington it probably won’t fit

That’s equivalent to like a 58/59cm, it will definitely fit you at 6ft tall. Trek 700 series are nice because you can put on much larger 700c tires compared to a standard road bike of that era which would only allow “skinny tires”. 900 or 800 series Trek of the same vintage which are 26″ wheels don’t have many cheap or easy options to update components. IMO the bike is well worth $150
