I think it is. Solid frame, nice reliable parts. Will likely last you many years, and you can probably sell it for 100 bucks after many years usage.
Decent bike that isn’t too old. I believe they are on clearance through some of the online bike stores. If it’s in good shape I would say $500 for an entry is ok. I have the X11 and it does everything I need it to do, similar MTBer using it for gravel and a mature cyclocross

I bought a new one for my son for more than double that price last spring. It’s a very cool 1x 10 that is a climbing machine. Great price if it’s not thrashed. The Microshift drivetrain is much better than I thought it would be.
