How much does my hill climb bike weigh just before nationals? The final piece of my weight saving puzzle was a visit to Strada for some new wheels. Darren has very kindly put these lovely looking carbon tubers together for the big event this weekend. They are some older Corora carbon rims built onto lightweight hubs with some super light 24 mil tubs taped on top. And most importantly, they come out to just over 1,000 g for the pair. I’ve also fitted a pair of AliExpress carbon brake calipers and light Bikes carbon bars in the last couple of weeks. Really trying to get that weight down. With power pedals and a pretty chunky computer mount, the final weight is 5.7 kilos, well under the 6 kilo mark I was aiming for. Happy days. It won’t be the lightest at Nationals. There’ll be some bikes sub 5 kilos, but I’m extremely happy with the balance of cost, weight, and practicality. No, I’m not cutting the drops off these very nice, gifted handlebars. The final test ride confirmed what I already knew. These wheels are stupid light. Feels like I’m riding on air.

There's a full video on the bike?
Matlock?
ı want that bikeeee AND MY E-BIKE WEIGHTS 30 KILOS BRUH (its thickness is 4.0 bruh)
Do u really need the seat post? Comforts for the weak
I strongly suspect lightbike are just selling rebranded Aliexpress stuff, their bars are suspiciously similar to the RXLs from ali. Which are great bars to be fair.
How robust will it be?
why not strip off the paint?
5.7 kilos lol
My bike weighs 21.4 kilos and I ride it up a mountain everyday…it's not about the weight, it's all about having a sweat, breathing hard and fitness for me.
Ali express brakes are probably not the greatest idea if your gonna blast down hills 😂😂😂
Rider weight: 45 kilos.
It doesn't matter. Actual weight = bike + rider. Anorexia matters more as it seems.
How you want to climb with such a small cassete?
Imagine getting ypur bike to 6kg but your still much heavier than i am with my 7.9kg aerobike
very very nice ❤
absolute peak bike
Great bike!! Congrats
Can’t beat a bit of Ali express for parts, I bought a few of their cheap carbon parts like handle bars seatposts etc
It will be too flexy for such a race with the rider I see
peasant, me with 20kg bike
Isn't that below UCI limit?
Doesn’t the 6.8kg rule apply?
Chunky boy putting the bike on a diet, good for ya
