Why did no one tell me about the extensive, beautiful bike lanes in Nice? Oh my god, this is literally what my dreams are made of. Renting bikes while visiting Nice is so easy. There are designated bike zones everywhere. You just need to connect to your Uber or Lime or Pony app and you’re ready to move. These bike lanes are unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the sense that the views are gorgeous and the lanes are super wellmaintained. The bike lanes run the entire length of the Prominade Des from the port to the airport. The interior roads are well separated from traffic with rows of streets and shrubs. I felt totally safe and incredibly jealous that we don’t have anything like this in the city. When we needed to go anywhere in Nice, we rode the bikes. The bikes are so clean and well-maintained and are electric, by the way, which made going up huge hills a breeze. There are cycling routes and tours you can take, but we stayed along the coast and biked to restaurants and activities that were close to our hotel. Biking around Nice was probably one of my favorite things that we did in Europe.
