ding advance to the CL and stay on course for his first ranking title since the 2019 UK Championship as they break off only one thing is guaranteed authentic quality regardless of result this is set up for a fabulous match tonight the fact that Ding is back to Red first not his best what a start looks pretty good to [Applause] me seven and then respects the most difficult of the three spiders to use The Branding Iron and he dropped that white on a six 19 26 33 meant that he didn’t have to play any sort of [Applause] Cannon 48 56 and he’ll be Keen to send a Stern message securing the frame in one visit will do just that 62 63 70 71 78 79 already Rono Sullivan playing like a million dollars the man who’s on course for the most lucrative season 86 in snooker history 87 94 101 10 Century number one 1,237 from Rono Sullivan in his career and on this evidence there’s plenty more to come yeah it’s been spellbinding from shot one the long red was also 108 110 it was also a test of his queing and passed with flying colors 113 got the black into play 117 out of the top drawer this one 122 finished off the Welsh open Final against ding with a 147 135 right starting out for the 135 AP McCoy rode well over three times as many winners is that 20 times National hunt Champion jockey two Geniuses in the same room the going is officially good tonight on the strength of that first frame also good to see another great man tonight a referee yanas Haven been refereeing all that often unfortunately he is fantastic as a referee a big [Applause] fella [Applause] [Applause] one nicely done held the spot that was smart just a safety shot way [Applause] six look at that now and [Applause] again seven there’s that bite on the QQ ball again see that the Q ball just came back about an inch too [Applause] much fabulous shot again 21 thank you 29 playing this for the the red nearest the left corner nothing to do with a Q ball really yeah that’s a great shot great choice of shot that guaranteed to be on this shed 32 yeah we know the black doesn’t go trying to push the red on the one that’s right in front of you oh that’s fabulous what a shot that is all right hasn’t worked out oh [Applause] that’s 54 five times in the last five years he’s made two centuries in a match against Ronnie and lost it of course he made a 147 and the recent Masters lost that1 62 but this reply cannot be faulted yeah in some ways it’s well it’s definitely at least on a par with the the 135 frame one this has been outstanding at least half a dozen top quality shots to keep this going 78 85 a simultaneous excellence in the first two frames it’s one1 you get the feeling with ding his career is moving in the right direction again [Applause] Rono Sullivan one seven he means business tonight I mean he obviously does anyway but think that certain shot he would have played left-handed 15 [Applause] 23 29 36 37 45 from teenager to veteran he’s always been the same electric 52 53 60 [Applause] 61 yeah I mean I know the black ball but the positional side of that last shot was something to behold he got it all going on tonight as all the flicks and tricks and kicks are all working out to Perfection one of those nights I mean he’s had a lot of them 84 he going to be like this all the way to the winning Line Tonight whoever gets there we don’t know but what we do have is a wonderful snooker match if he gets to three figures 92 it will be the 13th time Allan he’s made two centuries or more in a match against ding the stats are just mindboggling [Applause] 99 popping out after this Frame Allan to get myself a thesaurus I’ve run out of superlatives 106 I I don’t know we’re going to need a bigger table something stop that this kind of standard 110 just incredible 115 121 quite simply there’s never been anyone better and maybe there won’t be in the future so far tonight he’s been amazing [Applause] uhhuh nothing you can do credit also to the crowd tonight they’re playing a massive part in this and the bed goes on from distance he’s been deadly well his Q ball Artistry if Sullivan’s knocking in four out of five pots from distance the other guy has got one hell of a job eight 60 23 24 32 40 the last half a dozen positional shots although the had not been 47 huge in degree of difficulty the every one of them has been absolutely on the money he knew nothing of it [Applause] 56 so what was a minor blip 63 has been overcome and he’s set for 31 the interval is going to arrive after 40 minutes of play1 [Applause] 72 R suan what a shame 79 ding comes back to the table but it’s a foror hope [Applause] one no if he were to lose this it would be extraordinary 17 25 D way 32 Brown handy black likewise good cover in the middle of the table so you just never know but that’s been a feature of the session hasn’t it Phil Thunderbolts from Bol and there was another yeah Thunderbolts and lightning fast well with ap m mcoy in the audience in a snooker sense from M Sullivan this has been the Real McCoy n nine and the frame 135 for 128 and 79 see something very very special thank you ladies and gentlemen frame five suiv fans hope it will continue weo plenty of fans himself and they will be hoping for a recovery he’s not done much wrong has he but he finds himself 3-1 down yeah it’s a brutal nature of snooker where your opponent’s at the table putting on the ball there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it looking at the stats they’re just incredible the first four live pot success ding’s actually 100% Ronnie 98 actual pot success Ronnie’s at 96 and ding’s at 97 like a Basketball match is it great end to end stuff we in the right venue for that In fairness the Leicester Riders but ding here he knows every chance he’s going to have to make count and he’s in at the start of frame five yeah basically the only way he can put pressure on Ronnie is by Bally winning frames in one visit thank you five 13 if he can leave the Cubo somewhere where the pink is here it may have a righted to right corner that’s the reason he played for the pink pink will no go on the brown spot nice not sure if The Two Reds Above the black if any are posable to any of the corners so an angle on whichever color he decides to play for here is required 20 yeah this is a big shot of two cushions into the side of the pack but if there is a weakness d game it’s playing with extreme power [Applause] seven 13 we saw it at the end of the UK final against ding from 7 she produced three incredible frames there 18 19 decided to play for a single one the strike was Perfection just as if refuses to leave the table until the frames won pretty much perfect had the chance he missed the pink at PACE trying to get into the Reds and looks like he’s going to be punished again and I tell you what I hope he’s enjoying this because if he’s not then what is the point really this is how everybody who’s ever picked up a que dreams of playing snooker 44 yeah I mean I used to be quite good at stooker myself but this is this is just another as you say the speed that he’s doing it and the control of the Q ball the Striking of the Q ball 50 is just as I said before Perfection 5 that was funny because as soon as he hit this the Q ball there was a little Grimace because he knew he’d over hit it he wasn’t perfect on the blue I mean this wasn’t the easiest chance when he came to the table he made it look easy 72 what’s the the great thing about sport I think if you weren’t watching you might not believe it 48 years of age but still somehow the youngest man on tour the blue drops of course it does 77 it wouldn’t dare not so ding had the chance it didn’t come to much inep Ron O Sullivan and once again he punishes with great fin a clearance of Brilliance from O Sullivan two away then from what would be a dream a fair tomorrow for snooker fans they’ve not played since the champion to Champions final actually last season then getting some good support here he’s a very popular character and of course people would like to see a close match but it’s just the odd era here and there it’s not a lot really that’s costing him is tough as well the position’s not guaranteed actually yeah that’s under break I think against a lot of other players D would be playing that red into the pack trying to get the C ball on the ball cushion open the Reds but I just can’t afford to do it against Ronnie anything Ronnie’s seeing now he’s [Applause] potting I’m sure the prim wasn’t hit as thick as that the thing is you know even if Sullivan’s level was to slightly dip he still playing at such a level that you could still see him winning comfortably the moment he’s playing about as well as you can seven straight away from the blue was after the red that was just stopping the black being poble to both Corner Pockets 50 22 20 there’s no rush it’s just 30 timing at its best 31 [Applause] 39 47 not sure if he can go into the pack directly yeah he can and he’s okay again just one error safety error this time 60 it’s actually quite rare 61 as a snooker player that you get kns like this even for Ronnie the standards that he set this is this is right up there with some of his best ever performances certainly that I’ve witnessed 68 just one of those nights where the pockets look huge 69 and that AA the QQ ball that you need to strike with looks huge you can’t miss it you can’t miss the point that you’re striking on a q ball you just see everything so clearly of his own 76 it’s already made two centuries this evening 77 and a great chance for a third just underlining the extraordinary quality of this performance 85 and maybe it’s the case that because he is capable of being this good when he doesn’t Reach This level all the time that’s why he does get on his own case but no one can play like this every day yeah I I hope he doesn’t sort of talk down this performance tonight because I think everyone is watching on TV and in the arena tonight has is experiencing something special he’s making this game look ridiculously easy leg well this is the 29th centuries made 108 in this tournament over the years the players’s made the most with 30 is a certain Jud Trump and tomorrow it could well be an exhibition of bre building he’s not through yet but well if he doesn’t win this match it will be the most remarkable comeback of all time surely 170 122 he said at the Masters of Sullivan that he’s been chasing Perfection that’s why he keeps playing well tonight he’s come close to finding it but he misses the last for 128 his third Century of the night 51 the lead one more needed to reach the final and take on Jud Trump on Sunday nine R Sullivan [Applause] [Music] 14 [Applause] [Music] I mean I can’t explain how difficult it is that tonight say he’s been just put under the ultimate test as a snooker player every facet of his game has been put under the microscope be brave person to suggest that this wouldn’t be the beginning of the end of this match right here it’s just beautiful to watch genius is what it is 11 12 remember only two players beaten him all season Jang Ander twice L hen can Jud Trump add his name to that list we know he’s capable but if he’s watching this and I suspect he will be he knows he’s going to have to produce his best tomorrow it promises to be a fabulous occasion 20 just a game that he didn’t really want to play but he’s going to need that form he show in the first three frames to compete if Ronnie maintains this standard I mean if Ronnie maintains this standard he wins there’s no doubt about it because you can’t compete with this 26 33 42 two more pots needed 50 well what are you supposed to do in the face of this this match has lasted 70 minutes 58 the truth is a snooker table is just a snooker table until Rono Sullivan walks towards it and then it becomes a canvas for his unique Artistry and what a picture he’s painted this evening simply Sensational yeah say even Ronnie can’t play like this every day every match this has just been a special performance4 everything is just sort of slotted into place obviously just feels very comfortable playing Ding and we which is unfortunate for ding 81 82 Pro Sullivan it will be a 63rd ranking final yeah it’s not quite the centry yet it’s 103 points but the breaks are 89 but you can’t blame people for getting excited my word if you didn’t get excited about this you’re watching the wrong sport 90 thank you 97 so the green to finish with a fourth century and complete just a wonderful wonderful performance [Music] [Applause] 106 111 it’s getting better better right at the death what an extraordinary performance that was from the great Ron O Sullivan he concludes Victory with a fourth century

  2. WHY would anyone speed up the frame rate of a snooker video? The edit is brutally succinct as is, but to actually run the footage 10% faster just ruins it. The run of the balls becomes unnatural, the players movements around the table become comically quick, and the overall feel for the subtle artistry of O'Sullivan's play is lost.

  3. To think that Hendry dropped off once he hit his 30s – retired at 43.
To be still at your absolute best approaching 50 is different gravy. Higgins and Williams deserve immense credit for this too.
