Hey good folks,

May I ask for some advice on a new frame build I am looking to request? I have a decent level of knowledge on biking from past experience but I want to make sure I am doing the right thing with a new frame.

I am 6’4” 380lbs looking to get back into cycling so I can get into shape again. I am obviously having a harder time finding a safe frame. Unfortunately I broke the spokes on my latest store bought build, and i bent the frame when i hit a curb.

Long story short, I am requesting to have a custom frame built using steel that will support my weight. The ask is, are my measurements accurate? This will be a road / gravel frame.

Thank you so much for the advice and help with this, it is greatly appreciated.

  1. Looks good, probably could go bigger blades on the fork. Don’t forget to add a plethora of boss mounts. I might consider 58c to give a little more support to your seatpost. What size tires is this modeled with? I’d make sure it can fit 50c at least, don’t forget you can always run 650b wheels for added strength on gravel and 700c for road. (The beauty of disks). Love the high headtube. Please update when it’s finished!

  2. Did you put this drawing together or did the builder put it together? Honestly, the frame looks a bit short for someone that is 6’4″. The seattube is quite steep. 74.5*?

Whatever you do, make sure you get good, custom built wheels and a steel fork. Are you committed to drops, or are you ok with flat bars?
