Looking for a bike for my kid that will soon be 8 years old. He has just leaned into biking this year is ready for an upgrade from his 20" specialized hand me down bike…
We test fit him at the Trek store and 24" fits him perfect. We looked at a Wahoo 24 path. I like the light-weight (21.6 lbs) and overall geometry of the bike but it is a little out of the budget at $599. They are offering a 50% credit when you return the bike within 3 years to get a new bike for the kid… This might be a sales tactic that doesn't get used in the future.
I found this Giant 24 STP on FB market place. It seems like a good deal at $300. I'm not too familiar with Giant, but it looks like decent specs on their site. It is 25lbs and I like that it has disc brakes. Is this a good bike for the price? Am I missing something? Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance!
