If you pulled a fish out of the ocean and dropped it into a pond, it would quickly die. That’s because without salt, they absorb too much water, making their organs swell. But if a bull shark is plopped into a lake, they start peeing like crazy, up to 20 times more than normal to flush out the excess water they’re absorbing. At the same time, a special gland in their butt works overtime to hold on to salt, preserving the delicate balance in their blood that most fish would lose. Meaning, you could find a bull shark swimming in any body of water.

  1. Now i understand why there is a battle between Sura (Shark) and Baya (Crocodile) according to the legend of Surabaya.
Because Shark can swim to river where Crocodile live in.

  2. There is a legend of a massive bull shark that has survived in Louisiana. Maybe it is true, maybe it isn’t, but this is why that legend exists because Bull sharks are native to the area.

  3. But don’t fish and sharks specifically need water to survive? Saying too much water to absorb to the point that it can kill a fish is like saying exercising too much can kill you but your physical health is still required
