I’m looking for a road bike in yellow and I’m between these two that I’ve found. I don’t know a lot about road bike brands and parts so I’m curious of the big difference between the two, reasons to get one over the other and if they are worth the asking price. And if the Cannondale is really worth twice and much being it looks more serious of a bike. Thanks!

this is less a question of price and a question of value. for 550 I’d want something newer. the cannondale is 30 years old the trek is 40 years old.
while the cannondale has upgrades, its confined to the skinny wheels of the time and general tech. 9 speed was the limit but now you can easily get 11 and 12 speed. as tech continues to evolve, you’ll be limited in upgrading
