day two in norway! #travel #biking #norway
Welcome back to day two of biking in Norway. If you’re new here, my name is Annabelle and my boyfriend and I are currently biking around the world. Today was a long day. We started off by making a detour for a hike that we wanted to check out. Um, but unfortunately there was an avalanche warning for the area and we did not realize that until we got there. We had to ride through three tunnels to get there. The first was short and the last was short, but the second one was like 2.4 km and it was a bit spooky, but the views coming out of the tunnels were absolutely incredible, so definitely made it worth it. We stopped at a little restaurant in town and had delicious fish and chips and met another distance cycle couple. So, that was really cool. And then coming back through the tunnels. Look at this insane weather divide. Luckily, we were going to the blue sky. Or so I thought. But unfortunately, the gray skies did catch up with us eventually and we got caught in a little bit of bad weather. Um, but just as our spirits were getting super low, we got to this Shell station that had an open little restaurant. So, we got a slice of pizza and warmed up a bit and that brought us back to life. Then we got a few moments of bike path before we had to go across this bridge. And then we had a boat to catch at 4:40 in the morning. And so we just waited it out in a bar in town. Got to the terminal an hour early. We were the only ones there. I definitely lied when I said this was a ferry. It is most definitely a cruise ship that we were just passengers on, but it was absolutely amazing. The ride was around 6 hours and we did not have a cabin. So, we found a cozy spot to try and get a couple hours of sleep. And I’ll see you tomorrow for day
