I’m planning to attach a dog trailer to my Pinarello carbon bike, but I’m a bit worried about how well the frame will handle the extra stress from the trailer. I’m also debating whether to use clip-in pedals or stick with flats for better control. Any experienced riders out there who’ve tried something like this—what’s your advice?

  1. Get a cargo bike with a front cargo space. That way, you can admire your doggo while biking.

I spend most of time riding pulling a trailer. I would never in a million years attach one to my nice carbon bike.

Buy a basic alloy or steel work horse. You’re obviously not stuck for cash.

You’re either an idiot or a very good troll.

I was advised against putting my dog trailer on my carbon fibre mountain bike, so I have it on my aluminium bike. I reckon if it was a single wheel style trailer that attached on both sides of the axle it wouldn’t be as bad as attaching it to just one side.
