I found this Wahoo Kickr Core 2 in the trash with no drive belt or power supply. Minimal / most cost effective way, to test if it works + bring it back to life?

I found this in the trash (along with a casette mounted).
From my understanding, the Kickr Core 2 was only just release 2 months ago – so I don’t quite understand how its already broken / thrown out, and especially not the wear pattern on the wheel?
But anyone have a suggestion on checking if it works / bringing it back to life?

Lol, I’m just imagining someone using this as a wheel-on trainer and giving up.

I’ve changed the bearings out on mine. There’s not a whole lot to them. It’s hard to imagine how the broke the belt though.

Find someone else who has one, take yours there and try it using their power supply etc. If it works, then you know to order a power brick.

I’ve gone through 2 power bricks on Wahoo trainers and was an relatively inexpensive fix. Now the belt? How the hell did they do that? I have a 8 year old core that’s still going strong

I have one where the board died. No replacement available. Now just a fancy doorstop

Well, should be doable. There are replacement belts on the internets and power supply is just 5,5×2.1 barrel plug 12V DC, internal positive.
