Noticed this crack just a few days ago, after owning the bike for about three months. I did have one nasty chain drop a few months ago which caused quite a bit of superficial damage on the chainstay. This crack was not apparent after the chain drop however. I’ve been riding the bike solely on a Zwift Hub for the past month or so, and very carefully.
By looking through the little hole on the bottom of the frame, I can see that the crack is fully through the frame and not just of the paint.
I started a claim with Canyon, but any thoughts?

I was going to say it could be just the paint, but if you can see the crack from the inside then yeah it´s warranty time.
Hard to say what caused it because I would never have thought a chain drop could cause a crack in the middle of the BB area. And it does not look like you had a rock impact either.
Hopefully Canyon will honor the warranty without much hassle.
