Bought second hand rival groups etc. Had to fit new cables.
Couldn't get the lever to depress at all – looked it up and the Internet suggested that just may not have tightened the hose in enough to unlock the cylinder.
Only after giving it a good tighten I realised that I had installed the majig thingy incorrectly and instead of the red part screwing down iver the hose, it was screwed in the end – in front of the screw part.
Frantically undid gge bolt, pulled the hose out and the magig thingy is wedged inside.
Is it possible to replace the part that the hose screws into (first pic) or any ideas in extracting the majig part (second pic)?

Yep replacement is available: [https://www.backcountry.com/b/sram-road-disc-brake-hydraulic-hose-kit?CMP_SKU=SRM007E](https://www.backcountry.com/b/sram-road-disc-brake-hydraulic-hose-kit?CMP_SKU=SRM007E)
Not 100% sure that’s the right part for your shifter but that part is replaceable.
