  1. What is the pic supposed to show? Chain doesn’t look like it’s coming off any of the pulley wheels.

    From the conversation, it looks as though you’ve resolved this, but if you’re replacing the cage, be aware that the upper and lower jockey wheels differ.

    The lower one has come side to side play, by design, to help manage chain angle.

    The upper one doesn’t, to make sure the chain is guided onto the cogs properly.

    If you get them reversed, shifting can get ugly, and you’ll go nuts trying to figure out why.
