I think I’ll go with a 1×8 on the GT with a 38t NE ring and decent range cassette up to 40t and some streety tires. Marin will take a triple up front 8 in back, but not sure about what tires yet. And no I’m not just being a donk and swapping these sweet matching stems around for no reason. I plan to use the v-brifters on the Marin, they won’t work with the U brake on the GT, and the Marin stem cable pulley wheel would be sad just hanging out there with no cable in it…

    I can’t wait to see these put together – GT is definitely a brand I’d like to come across in the wild – lots of trek where I live for sure so it’s really dope when I see something out of the norm for classic frames/xbike stylings.
