Cannondale Synapse | Perfect UK Endurance Road Bike?

We tested the Cannondale Synapse on the rough roads of Grassholme in the North Pennines. An area Dave our Darlington Store Manager knows all too well. With rough, patchy roads and stretches of perfect rolling B roads.

The last update for the Synapse left a lot to be desired, but with this new update Cannondale have brought the Synapse back to life and is better than ever. Watching Lachlan Morton circumnavigate Australia, significantly beating the record – it made us think – how will this work in the UK? Is this the perfect UK endurance road bike? Here is the 2025 Canandel Signaps. Once a bestseller for a wheel basease, the Signapse has a cult following in the UK for its unique blend of speed, comfort, and versatility. But then the last update happened. And let’s be honest, that left us all a little bit confused. So the question is, have Cannondale finally nailed it? And is this the perfect endurance road bike for the UK? Or is it much more? Out on the road, there’s no doubt the new Signaps is a fantastic bike to ride. The new carbon layup combined with the new design of the rear end and the 32 mil tires really soak up those bumps in the road. But when you want to get out the saddle and sprint, it’s still more than stiff enough. Bike we have here is the base model Signaps. It comes equipped with a 105 group set and alloy DT Swiss wheels. The new frame features a neat integrated stash port on the down tube, eyelets for mud guards, smart sense is now optional, and thankfully much improved. And we also see a return of the trusty threaded bottom bracket. Cheers, Canondell. This bike features the very same 105 group set as ridden to victory in the recent Lincoln Grand Prix by our wheelbase cabill rider Jimmy the Blade. In a size 54, the Synapse has a 15 mil taller stack height than the Super 6 Evo, given a more relaxed riding position for comfortable long days in the saddle. So, is the new Cannondale Signaps the perfect UK endurance road bike? Well, in my opinion, it hits the spot, but honestly, I say it’s more than that. The geometry, tire claims, and ride feel hit all the right notes. The new Sign Apps breaks the mold for the endurance category.
