I recently picked up a track bike frame that’s got me really curious — it says “Schröder Bremen” on the downtube, but I can’t find much about it online. The frame looks like an NJS frame, but there’s no NJS stamp anywhere, so I’m guessing it’s not.
Some details:
- Lugged steel frame
- No brake mounts or cable stops
- Serial number under the BB: not sure, looks like MYEI0000 https://imgur.com/a/m93EEJM
- “Schröder Bremen” decals on the downtube
From what I can tell, Schröder might have been a bike shop or small builder in Bremen, Germany, possibly rebranding imported or custom-built frames. But that’s just my guess.
If anyone knows more about Schröder Bremen, or recognizes the builder / dropout style / lug work, I’d love to learn more about this frame.
