Tips for shooting Menton:
1. The city faces east, so the front of the town will be better lit at sunrise than sunset. If you want the best light, come at golden hour in the morning.
2. Because the stairs are so wide, you can usually get shots of the stairs without too many people in them, so don’t worry if you go at the height of day — you can still get a good shot without too many people.
3. Walk down the long piers and up the stairs and past the Cimetière du Vieux Château for panoramic shots of the town, sea, and mountains. The more you walk, the greater the variety of your shots.
