Proud owner of my first bike! Novara AT 1983! I do want to do some modifications but I want to keep it simple and clean! Any recommendations welcome, this is new to me!

Second thought, Brooks saddle if you’re keeping it.

This thing is too slick! Everything on it looks fantastic and has some pedigree you can appreciate – your stem and bars for example are super dope no need to fool around there unless you want to do moto or cruiser type bars. The only thing that jumps out at me is the brake system – I went straight to v brake when I started building frames up like this it was always talked about and how recommended v brakes are- especially on how much better they are when it comes to adjustability or ease of use dialing in as well as braking power. Congratulations on your new ride – here; enjoy this banger while you clean and polish it [https://youtu.be/RNo7X1hSBc4?si=ITARfl2SbI8u9QI7](https://youtu.be/RNo7X1hSBc4?si=ITARfl2SbI8u9QI7)

I put b17,66,67 or 72’s on all my keeper bikes.

How comfortable is the fit? That slammed saddle makes me suspect it’s too big for you.

First, I would add a specialized pizza rack. Second, since you have a lot of unused seatpost I would look for a short crankset, maybe a 155mm or so.
