Im pretty sure all dt Swiss wheels for the past couple years came tubeless ready.

The tubeless ready rimtape DTSwiss uses always says it’s tubeless ready, at least on all the rims i’ve held in my hands.
Doesn’t mean this tape isn’t, just an observation…

This doesn’t have the texture of any tubeless tape I’ve used but that may not be significant.

That wheel is not tubeless ready. That is just a rim strip and not taped to be air tight.

That rim strip is not tubeless tape.
Tubeless compatible rims have a distinct ‘shoulder’ at each side. This helps retain the tyre under low pressure (& also makes mounting tyres a pita on occasion).

DT Swiss tubeless tape is black on the stock wheels I’ve seen. I’d probably pull that and re tape them just to be on the safe side and not make a mess.

The rim tape isn’t tubeless (you can confirm that it isn’t glued). The rim is (you can see the “shoulders” on both sides).

It is not, but you can safely tape on top of it.

Dt swiss tubeless tape is black and one of ther better tapes
Legitimate_Pea_143 on
that is just a rim strip you would need rim tape also check if there is anything on the rim denoting that it is tubeless ready, it will either say it flatout or say something like TR or TL will mean it’s tubeless ready.

It is not. That’s a rip strip, not rim tape. If you’re ever questioning if a rim strip is tape, just retape it so you know for a fact what’s in there.
