foreign [Music] [Music] good morning guys I hope everything is well with you for now Wednesday morning here and it’s getting hot to me here you will see it soon on the bike ride you’re joining me today so I’ve got a three hour ride planned just low intensity super happy that I can still go outside I got some pretty good clothing for Autumn but I just went a little bit shopping on the trimtex website super cool to have some free gear from them now feels a bit like this Pro journey and a really really grateful that I got the support from trimtex as a young rookie somebody that yeah I don’t have a lot of reach on the social media channels follow me foreign it’s just really cool to have someone that is on your side and it’s world-class performance apparel or Triathlon cycling and running and also cross-country skiing so super happy with that so the gear I have right now it’s like for like yeah right now it’s like seven to 12 degrees outside feels like seven days safe so I’m still okay with this I’ll show you a little bit what I what I got going on here what I take with a three hour Easy Ride still aiming for 40 grams of carbs an hour trying to keep it natural as well I got some crackers here that’s like 20 grams each something here banana 20 25 depending how ripe and then I got just some Morton 80 grams I shouldn’t need too much liquid since like I said it’s quite fresh happy to get out still because sooner when it’s really really cold and slippery especially but here in Finland that’s most likely going to be like January February where it’s maybe minus 20 and even running might be a challenge so the air probably have to go on the treadmill as well but that’s okay I will see how it is until now because we live close to the ocean 1K away from the ocean super nice still also the weather is always changing you have the clouds changing all the time so super lucky with that still like really sunny day a little bit of cloud cover no rain so it should be a nice ride so what I take with here this is just in case it does rain just slam rain jacket here the classic booths one for the throat also I got a second one for the ears if you get cold gloves if it’s super cold but most of the time I always wear these even in summer days you know just If You Should Crash you can avoid road rash and actually also in the summer when you sweat a lot you have a lot more grip with this just my Waffle element computer some music here always use that I’m a big fan of those what are they called the aftershocks with those you have them you know you don’t have them in your ear you have to be Frontier ear so you can still hear the traffic you’re still fully present so you see it’s more like a safety package I got here because I had a pretty backed bike crash to 18 where I could have just uh you know not survived so I’m not planning on dying on the road so I do what I can so the only safety you have on the road is visibility and your helmet the rest is and of course not driving in the Airbus in cities and not doing stupid things but so I do have here those Cobalt lights you can charge them USB front one lasts four hours this one maybe five but blinking you can see it’s pretty aggressive you have different ones but you are visible like hell so the reason I have this is again visibility it doesn’t last too long I mean on the website it says 10 hours that’s all I don’t know if my one is so my one does four hours then since it’s not a sunny day just simple visible glasses just some super simple ones you can get them for like 10 15 bucks foreign [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] decided to have a little stop here I was gonna grab a coffee that’s something I had to learn over the years like I was someone who never stopped on the rides or like very rarely maybe five hours like in the very beginning of the sport I think when I started the first two three years I was more in a community I think where I did that but over time you get your ego involved things get more ambitious and you think I can’t afford to to stop on the ride and it’s a tricky one right I mean I think super important this makes you enjoy the ride a lot more and you’re stopping you know not like for like an hour and have like a full beef burger I mean just have like 10 15 minutes relaxed coffee stop chat with your friends and make it enjoyable I don’t think it makes any difference in in training stimulus except you enjoy it more and if you enjoy something more you’re gonna do it more consistently over time today no such luck unfortunately it’s close another day [Music] Sunny ride nice Autumn Sun really lovely out here [Music] [Music] wow that was a really beautiful ride crazy how the Sun just came out and uh yeah felt really good as well three hours with a bit of strength stuff in there but all low heart rate slowly building volume here last week last two weeks at 15 hours it was just after covert building up and slowly building up bringing some more quality in there in the water especially on the bike a little bit but run not so much just easy really building step by step but I noticed in the pool for example some really great progress super happy with that and did another video as well how my stroke changed so we talked a few videos back about the swim that had for example the arm was too low in the water in the front and then I had too much drag and that really improved now and you can see it with the splits as well how I feel there’s still some things that I need to improve for example one thing I need to do or I still have hidden sometimes to to balance I have this strong kick but from the knee like a little bit and I did someone start with with cramps even so that’s something I had way too much leg tension in the water so especially with the swimmer guy I swim you can see his legs are just completely straight and relaxed almost no tension in there almost like really nothing going on there while maybe coming from running cycling we tend to tense up and use those muscle groups but those it’s mainly a mind thing I need to switch it off I could do it with a pull bar that are suddenly like let go of everything below here really just let it more or less float like a gentle kick and really get the power in the core and the arms and then you feel different so that’s something I’ll be working on now but the splits are coming down super happy with that yeah so just got another swim late in the afternoon at uh so good another 3.5 K swim basically every day in the water a lot of swimming at the moment but like I said one of the big goals is to be in that front pack or very very close if there’s one or two Uber swimmers that’s the biggest challenge for Pro Racing you’ve got to be in that pack and I work very hard that I’m gonna be in a pack in the future there we are guys in the midst of training I’m gonna be hopping on the indoor ride again a bit harder session today strength endurance focus and but I want to keep this short this week next week I’m going to be talking a lot about all my corner learnings I’ve been in Hawaii twice and I’ve learned a lot from First racing there myself but secondly also from coaches other guys there lots of tips I received and lots of inside knowledge for everybody who might be racing or know somebody who’s racing so I’m going to share all of those in a short video next week for you so you guys stay motivated I know it’s a tough time of the year coming the weather is turning a bit bad for most of us in Europe so just remember set High goals set nice goals for next year something that excites you that gets you out the door if you’re really having a bit of a low moment right now for sure next week Herman Kona is going to do something for you it’s going to get you fired up that might be a dream for you even if people say hey it’s impossible or so difficult to qualify set High goal goals see where you are right now objectively what do you need to do next year to have your highest chance to qualify or where are you right now percentage-wise what do you need to swim bike and run in order to have a shot on a course that suits you to qualify and then break it down break it down from there might take you three years but you can do it it is possible especially now with more Corner slots on the table it’s going to be a lot more slots for everybody so it’s going to be exciting have a power week guys chat to you next week foreign [Music] guys I hope you enjoyed the video you can really help me out if you like And subscribe push the notification Bell
