I bought my YT Izzo with the Thirstmaster 5000 set which came with the bottle, connector, and base. On a recent ride, I lost my bottle, so naturally I ordered a replacement “bottle only”. Which I assumed would just snap back on. I didn’t realize that the “connector” is its own product. Does anyone know if I can buy FidLocks TWIST connector for this? I’m wondering YT would even sell a “bottle only” if it doesn’t actually replace the part that is able to be lost. Why would that not come with the connector?

Does the device they sell on their website called the Bottle Connector not do what you need?
The new fidlock bottles come with detachable/ replaceable magnets. Handy if your bottle needs replacement so you can buy just the bottle for cheaper, and the new system is more robust. but super annoying when this is not clear and you (or I) buy the bottle only without realizing the new system is modular.
Short answer cheaper. I bet that was the cheapest one. You could find you gotta go back and get one with the magnet. Installed, it’ll be a bit more money.
[This is the part you want](https://www.fidlock.com/consumer/en/twist-bottle-connector/09604-002032-blk-pb), might be available cheaper from a retailer rather than direct from Fidlock.
For future reference, Fidlock sell all parts of their system separately.
– If it’s labled “Single bottle” on Fidlock’s website, it comes with the bottle connector
– If it’s labled “Replacement bottle” it’s just the bottle with no connector (with the expectation you’d move the connector from your old bottle to the new one)
Retailers often don’t adhere to this naming scheme, but they usually use identical product images to Fidlock’s site, which will show whether the bottle has the connector or not, or whether it comes with a bike base too.
You can also just tell by price if the retailer sells multiple variants, the “replacement” bottles should always be the cheapest, followed by the “single” bottles with connector, and then the bottles that come with a bike base.
Regardless of the bottle size, they all use the same male/female parts on the bottle and base, you can also buy a left turn bottle connector if that’s more ergonomic for you.
You can buy all the pieces separately from Fidlock but the photos you posted do not appear to be the Twist system. Maybe YT licensed their own?
Edit – my bad. You just need the twist bottle base linked here https://www.fidlock.us/products/twist-bottle-connector
they work nice on steep trails.
